The BEd ( Hons) degree strategy has been designed and developed to produce competent, qualified teachers who will be capable to effectively meet the needs of the 21st century learners in a universal environment.

Bachelor of Education Programme (UGC) | Horizon Campus

The strategy is a comprehensive, qualified and multi-disciplinary education strategy that includes general, professional, elective and practical components of modern Teacher Education accredited via the UGC & Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka. The uniqueness of the strategy is its multi-disciplinary creation that caters to the needs of all categories of candidates.

All general, qualified and practical modules are compulsory to all students while the two elective modules that consists of both academic and methodological components could be selected via the candidates from a pool of courses.

  • Non-graduate teachers who need to enhance their academic and qualified qualifications
  • GCE AL (or equivalent) experienced students who aspire to accept teaching as their future career

Entry Requirements

Three passes in GCE (A/L) or its equivalent.
